Compositie:

De paaltjes van de afrastering die verdwijnen in de verte geven deze foto een enorm perspectief dat nog eens versterkt wordt door het weglopende zandpad en de mistige atmosfeer die alles wat verder weg is steeds lichter laat worden. Dit is een typische landschapsfoto waarin er een voorgrond is die tegelijk dient als kader een middenpartij met de bomen links en de schapen en dan een achtergrond van grote eiken en beukenbomen.

Kleur:

Door de ijzel en de mist heeft deze foto bijna alle kleur verloren, alleen de zandweg heeft nog de groene kleur van het gras. Kleur is hier ook niet erg belangrijk de foto moet het van de sfeer hebben

Belichting:

Ondanks het feit dat er duidelijk een (groot) verschil in contrast is in dit beeld is het wel zo evenwichtig verdeeld dat met multisegment meting de juiste belichting wordt verkregen.

Scherpstellen en diafragma:

Het is hier het best om scherp te stellen op de elzebomen links in het midden door het diafragma dan zo hoog mogelijk te zetten wordt vanaf dat punt 1/3 van de afstand naar voren scherp gemaakt en 2/3 naar achteren.
 

145. Forrestedge of the Haarsterbos:

Composition:

The poles of the fencing which disappears in the distance give this scene an enormous depth of field which is even more emphasized by the converging lines of the sand path and the misty athmosphere making distant objects appear ever increasingly hazy. This is a typical landscape scene which consists of a foreground acting as a kind of frame a midsection with the trees on te left and the sheep and a background of large oak and beech trees.

Colour:

This scene has almost lost all it's colour due to the fog and the hoar-frost, only the dirtroad has some green left in it. But colour isn't the key thing in this scene, athmospher is.

Lighting:

Althoug there is a (significant) difference in contrasts in this image it is so evenly devided that you can gain the right result with multisegment metering.

Focusing and lensopening:

The best focalpoint in this scene are the alder trees on the left and in the middle. By choosing a large apperture you will then be able make 1/3 of the distance in front of the alder trees and 2/3 behind them sharply displayed.
