Menigeen houdt van de zomer, ik vind het dan eigenlijk maar wat saai. Ik heb meer met de herfst met zijn stormen, buien, e.d. Het is vaak veel interessanter om een lucht met drijgende buien te fotograferen dan een compleet blauwe lucht. Zo ook deze foto waarin een hagelbui in aantocht was. Net voordat de bui losbarte maakte ik deze foto, terwijl de zon nog net de voorgrond ophelderde en de bui nog drijgender maakte dan hij in werkelijkheid was. Meteen nadat ik de foto gemaakt had striemden mij de hagels in het gezicht, heerlijk die frisse koude wind om het gezicht.

549. Duurswoudsterheath (Friesland):

Quite a few people relish the summer but I think it is predominantly boring. I prefer autumn with it's storms, rain, etc. It often is far more interesting to photograph a sky with oncomming rain then a completely blue sky. This is displayed in this picture were a hailstorm is forthcomming. Yust before the downpour startet, with the sun yust brightning up the foreground making the clouds even more dramatic, I pressed the shutter. Immediately after I had taken the shot, hailstones were striking my face, a nice sensation the coldness in my face.
